Response to Displacement from Aleppo #1

As a result of the recent unexpected events that led to the displacement of a large number of our people from #Aleppo and its countryside, St. Ephrem Patriarchal Development Committee (#EPDC) implemented a rapid and urgent humanitarian response for our incoming people residing in the Herjalleh center in rural Damascus. The team assessed the needs of the families and reviewed their conditions to work on securing what is possible immediately in cooperation with partners.

They also coordinated and collaborated with teams from the Syrian Arab Red Crescent SARC and with the support of #ZOA to distribute bread and canned goods as a first step in securing food for all families and individuals residing in the center.

#EPDC team will continue its humanitarian duty by distributing meals daily to the center’s residents.
