“May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had. ” Romans 15:5
In moments of deep sorrow, true love reveals itself, and words fall short in the face of the pain of losing loved ones.
In the wake of the tragedy that struck our people during the bombing of #St_Elias_Church in #Dweilaa on June 22, the St. Ephrem Patriarchal Development Committee (#EPDC) could not stand idly by, especially as the #humanitarian_arm of the Syriac Orthodox Patriarchate of Antioch and All the East.
Following the guidance of His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II, we carried with us a message of condolence and hope, and hearts filled with love and solidarity.
In sincere cooperation with #ZOA, and driven by our humanity and sense of duty toward those who have suffered this deep wound, financial assistance was provided to 110 families of martyrs and the injured. Through this, we strive to embody our motto: “From Empathy to Action,” and to continue the message of mercy and support that binds us all together.
The EPDC team had the honor of visiting these families in their homes in the Dweilaa neighborhood, where the meetings were filled with love, empathy, and attentive listening. We heard their needs, shared in their sorrow, their prayers, and their hopes, working to provide humanitarian support that reflects the values of love and solidarity.
For love is not measured by words, but by sincere action, an expression of our shared commitment to easing the pain of this tragedy and carrying forward the enduring message of compassion and support that unites us.
