Health support project
Free medical clinics in the town of Arbin in Eastern Ghouta continued to provide services to all beneficiaries without interruption, and provided primary and secondary health services to an average of 900 patients monthly.
Healthcare services available within the center:
Pediatrics – general internal medicine – cardiology – gynecology – physiotherapy – services for people with special needs.
Radiography, echocardiography, and ECG services – medical analysis services, covering child deliveries expenses, and a nephrology clinic.
The clinic provides its services to patients suffering from kidney failure through free dialysis sessions on a weekly basis, in addition to distributing the necessary medicines for kidney patients and providing health and psychological care for patients within the clinic.
This center eased the financial burden on the patients and their families as the sessions are delivered for free.
EPDC in partnership with the European Union from the European Fund DG-Near and the Syrian Society for Social Development, established the Masarat project, which aims to build the reality of mental health in Syria for the patient and later provide the required support to confirm the level of mental health in Syria, including capacity development for staff and logistical support for patients and centers, each according to the needs resulting from Evaluation during the project, especially in the context of the final central agreement for patients, the so-called (Deinstitutionalization).
EPDC in cooperation with LWF, carried out a project to support medical experts affiliated with the Aleppo Organization, so the group of services was added to the Saint Ephrem Healing House Center and the Saint George Healing House Center as:
– Medical case management: This includes providing medical needs that are not present within the center to patients according to the need indicated by the reference to (medications – tests – mobility aids – hearing aids…) and the number of patients from the services is 92.
– Health education: We have employed a health educator in each center to conduct a community epidemiological study on the involvement of the most common diseases, to be carried out later after attending daily health awareness sessions for visitors to the intensive center on the program that is organized from the community study.
– Surgical operations: Requests for surgical services were received in cooperation with the support observed for a large number of patients, reaching 141.
First aid workshops were also provided to protect against any product and took place in Aleppo in cooperation with certificates and first aid bags for the beneficiaries of the workshops.
