Awareness campaign on personal hygiene

on the occasion of World Health Day – 2018

On the occasion of World Health Day, the health care program at the St.Ephrem Patriarchal Development Committee has carried out an awareness campaign on personal hygiene to prevent diseases at the Jaramana Center.

The campaign included several activities, including teaching children songs about hygiene, handicrafts and a puppet theater, with the aim of basic themes for personal hygiene such as the correct way to brush teeth, hand-washing stages and the importance of permanent bathing.

In 1948, the First World Health Assembly called for the dedication of a “World Health Day” to commemorate the founding of the World Health Organization. Access to quality basic health services without facing financial difficulties, and to support countries in progressing towards universal health coverage.
