Hope Channels Project – Closing session

In the presence and blessing of His Eminence Mor Boutros Kassis, Archbishop of Aleppo and its environs for the Syriac Orthodox, and the General Manager of St. Ephrem Patriarchal Development Committee (#EPDC)

The Authority #EPDC held a meeting with the spiritual fathers and guides who implemented the initiatives of the Channels of Hope project, which EPDC implemented for the third consecutive year, which is concerned with protecting the child from any form of abuse or violence to which he may be exposed, and to Awareness of children’s rights to enjoy a safe and sound childhood and to have a safe and bright future.

His Eminence met with the participants on the first day, and listened to an explanation of the initiatives and their positive impact on children, adolescents and caregivers, stressing the EPDC interest in implementing projects that focus on child protection.

He listened to the challenges and difficulties, giving his directives to overcome them, and about future plans for child protection projects.

On the second day, the final workshop was held in the presence of Eng. Hisham Saad, Executive Director of EPDC, and in the presence of administration team.

The attendees provide a brief overview of each of the 10 initiatives implemented in various dioceses and denominations in Syria.

Finally, the team visited the Lady of the East Monument in the town of Al-Hawash in Wadi Al-Nasara, offering their prayers and wishes for a safe and happy childhood for all children.
