oussama hatem2025-10-08 11:00:492025-10-09 11:10:09Daraa & Suwaydaa humanitarian responseAn administrative delegation from ZOA Organization, headed by HR Advisor Ms. Sandra Vogd and Country Director Ms. Vera Djabali, along with a team from ZOA, visited the headquarters of the St. Ephrem Patriarchal Development Committee(EPDC), in Bab Sharqi – Damascus, where they were received by EPDC Executive Director Eng. Hisham Saad awas ccompanied by a team from the Committee.
During the meeting, discussions focused on the joint humanitarian and development projects implemented in partnership between ZOA and EPDC, particularly the emergency response initiatives that reflect the genuine and constructive cooperation between both sides. The two parties also discussed future work plans and ways to enhance collaboration in implementing humanitarian projects across different regions.
Following the meeting, the delegation conducted a field visit to observe the cash assistance project for the families of the martyrs and the injured affected by the St. Elias Church bombing in Dweilaa last June. The delegation met with several families, offering condolences and expressing their deep sympathy and solidarity.
The visit concluded with a tour in Jaramana – Rural Damascus, where the delegation observed the distribution of assistance to displaced families from Al-Suwaydaa Governorate following the recent tragic events in southern Syria. With generous support from ZOA, EPDC continues to distribute food and hygiene kits, blankets, and pillows to affected families currently residing in Jaramana and rural Daraa.
