Visit of the General Manager and Executive Director of the ST. Ephrem Patriarchal Development Committee (EPDC) to the Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management.

His Eminence Archbishop Mor Boutros Kassis, Archbishop of Aleppo and its environs and General Manager of the ST. Ephrem Patriarchal Development Committee (EPDC), accompanied by Eng. Hisham Saad, the Executive Director of EPDC, and a delegation from the administrative team, visited Mr. Raed Al-Saleh, Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Damascus.

During the meeting, they discussed the EPDC’s humanitarian projects, including the response activities implemented for families displaced from As-Suwaydaa to the governorates of Daraa and Damascus, as well as ways to support villages affected by fires.

The Executive Director presented an overview of the EPDC’s developmental and sustainable projects, such as livelihood support, agricultural assistance, and the rehabilitation of boreholes through environmentally friendly solar energy systems, in addition to other protection and health care projects.

Minister Al-Saleh expressed his appreciation for the humanitarian work carried out by local civil society organizations, particularly EPDC, in various cities and regions across Syria, serving all people without discrimination. The meeting also addressed ways to enhance joint cooperation and strengthen partnerships to better serve the citizens.
