Channel of Hope – 3 year project

His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II meets the priests participating in a training on Child Protection.
His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II met with a group of priests from various Syrian churches, cities, and governorates, who participated in a training course on the principles and concepts of child protection.
The training course lasted for 3 days in Sayfo Hall at the headquarters of the Syriac Orthodox Patriarchate of Antioch and All the East in Bab Touma, which was set up by St. Ephrem Patriarchal Development Committee (EPDC), as a first step of the Channels of Hope project, which EPDC implements for the third year in a row within the protection and education program.
The project aims to implement initiatives and projects for child caregivers as well as for children to raise awareness about forms of violence, abuse, the exploitation that the child may be exposed to, ways to avoid it and deal with it, in addition to protecting the child and raise awareness about their rights, and ideas on the implementation of qualitative activities and initiatives of the project in optimal and beneficial ways.
The meeting was attended by His Eminence, Mor Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Assistant, and His Eminence, Mor Augeen Al Khoury Nemat, Patriarchal Secretary, Patriarchal Secretary, and the team of EPDC.
